Nimta High School (H.S.) was established in 1875, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey spanning over one and a half centuries. A New Chapter: Co-education from Class V to XII
In a historic move, Nimta High School (H.S.), once a precinct exclusively for male students, has proudly opened its doors to female students from Class V to Class XII, ushering in a new and inclusive era of co-education. This significant moment is not just for the institution but represents a profound societal change, fostering a truly holistic learning environment.
The classrooms will now cultivate healthy competition, strong cooperation, and mutual respect among all students. They will gain invaluable opportunities to solve problems from diverse perspectives, enriching their future paths. 150th Year Celebration: A Golden Chapter
January 1, 2024, marked the auspicious beginning of Nimta High School (H.S.)'s 150th year. The formal inauguration of this sesquicentennial year was celebrated on January 20, 2024, with a grand procession attended by distinguished personalities. Those golden moments are preserved digitally to remain evergreen in our memories.
The school's commitment to adapting to modern needs is further exemplified by its introduction of English medium education from Class V to Class XII, starting from the academic session 2025. This initiative, launched on the occasion of its 150th anniversary, aims to provide quality education at a very affordable cost, guided by the school's highly experienced teachers, ensuring the continued upliftment of this century-old institution.
